about Bernat CunĂ
A mediterranean designer in Hong Kong.
I’ve been working in user centred design for the past years, researching people, cultures and experiences and translating the insights into designs and strategies that satisfy unmet needs and are good for the environment.
Currently conducting an eco-design research project at PolyU
I created blinkr:media, a design promotion and publishing platform, that hosts DesignCorner and Idealist among other projects.
I use belforn:lab as a sandbox for design concepts, business ideas and creative projects.
And I also have time for my personal blog, get inspired, observe, write about design and experiment with graphics and video.
Topics I’m curious about recently:
Self-production: laser cutting, rapid prototyping …
Dematerialization: nanotechnology / ubiquitous computing …
Designocracy: democratization of design …
User generated products: t-shirts / books / wht’s next? …
Rise of crafts: designers hand-making, crafter meeting market needs …
Downloadable designs: toys / furniture / what’s next?…
Desingpreneur: designers doing business…
Green consumerism: voice of design…
Glocalization: global / local opportunities and challenges…
