User Research + Concept design + Detailed deisgn of a thermo bottle product line

The project took data gathered in previous research projects and tranlated all the information into knowledge to develop a prouct line of thermo bottles.

Currently being produced in China

A lunch-box/bag designed for the needs of the urban user.

I actively participated on the research stage and concept development of the product.
During the detailed design stage I participated as an adviser.

It is produced in China and being sold worldwide successfully.
It got excellent reviews by its users
I’m very proud of it.

Safety Helmet [re]-Design
The design was focused to pass the worldwide safety standards regarding construction worker’s helmets.

The new design strengthened the whole helmet successfully.
Now being sold worldwide.

Early stage models:

Client: Climax

Project was about designing new concepts of packaging and displays for a technical climbing equipment company.

The suggested designs included several POP concepts as well as multi-use packagings.
A field research was done with mountaineering experts in order to understand their perceptions and shopping experiences.

The project involved the 3D modeling of an existing mask, and a re-design based on some fixed parameters like filter and window size standards.

The design involvement went further until the tooling stage.

A prospective and challenging approach to bathing products, environments and experiences.

The Modular Family Bath is a set of basic forms (pipe, block, ground and panel) that allow the users to build, change and adapt the bath according to their changing moods and needs.

A concept of “white board”-like pen and eraser for the bathroom environment

This concept was submitted to The Coram design award 2002

A toy concept for a bath toy.
The toy has several thermo-chromatic parts that change colour with temperature.
This allows the parent to check the water temperature when bathing the baby, while keeping the baby busy.

This was a competition entry sumbitted in 2001.

KLA [Kid de Logistica Alimentaria] / [Food Logistic kit]
The Project was developed in cooperation with the international non-profit-organization MSF (Doctors Without Borders) and it was about solving the problem of food distribution in refugees camps.

The problem: In refugee camps they distribute food in a week basis per family.
This means that they give large quantities of grain and rice that often is difficult to transport and store back t0 the tent.
The other problems is that normally, the food is collected with different sorts of containers (oil cans, water bottles, boxes…) this makes the process of distributinig the food very tedious. Besides that, if someone comes without enough containers, he/she can’t carry back the food that his/her family deserves…

The solution: The product is a plastic base with a high resistant compartmented fabric container to collect, transport and store the food distributed in refugee camps.
