this song came to my mind this morning when I was looking through the window… observing the amount of little ants crossing the streets of hong kong…
I particularly like this video, it’s fascinating, I can watch it over and over and I’m still seduced by it.
I specially like the “lunch break”! very fun
“One of the most densely populated metropolitan areas in the world, Hong Kong has an overall density of nearly 6,700 people per square kilometer. The majority of its citizens live in flats in high-rise buildings. In Architecture of Density, Wolf investigates these vibrant city blocks, finding a mesmerizing abstraction in the buildings’ facades.”
just recovered from the fun and interesting RecRoom event last night…
the event-party was organized by Videotage (a non-profit interdisciplinary artist collective, which focuses on the development of video and new media art in Hong Kong) and it was the closing of the “design series” events.
last night we enjoyed the work of Robot(a design and music collective from HK), with special hightlight of the work “evolution“, a short film that was screened prior to the dj/vj session… pretty fun!
enjoy it
*the event whas held at Cattle Depot, a surprisingly inspiring space in Kowloon side
“The use of dragon boats for racing and dragons are believed to have originated in southern central China more than 2,500 years ago, along the banks of such iconic rivers as the Chang Jiang a.k.a. Yangtze (i.e. during the same era when the games of ancient Greece were being established at Olympia). Dragon boat racing as the basis for annual water rituals and festival celebrations, and for the traditional veneration of the Asian dragon water deity, has been practiced continuously since this period.”
*I don’t know how were the dragonboat festivals a couple of thousand years ago, but nowadays they seem to be very fun!…
